The Turkish embassy building in Berlin was attacked during the night hours. The embassy, whose exterior wall was painted with red by unidentified individuals, sustained significant damage during the incident. Security forces immediately intervened to prevent the situation from escalating quickly.
About 40 people gathered around the embassy, covering the building’s wall and the pavement in front with paints containing various slogans and messages. It was reported that the attack was not limited only to the embassy itself, but also caused damage to the nearby South African Embassy. During the incident, various smoke bombs were detonated, increasing the panic in the area.
Police Took Action and Detentions Were Made
Upon notification, police teams arriving at the scene determined that the attackers had quickly fled the scene. Two individuals, aged 19 and 20, were taken into custody, and they are considered suspects connected to the incident. Authorities continue their efforts to identify and apprehend other suspects.
