China’s railway giant CRRC announced the completion of the first round-trip services of its most advanced train sets, the CR400BF-Z Fuxing smart EMUs, between Xi’an North and Yan’an stations. This development strategically enhanced the transportation network in North Shaanxi with the official opening of the Xi’an-Yan’an high-speed railway line.
Smart Technologies and 350 km/h Speed
Developed by CRRC, these smart electric train sets are designed to reach speeds of 350 km per hour. The trains are equipped with advanced monitoring systems that improve passenger comfort and operational safety. Furthermore, these units can transmit data via 5G technology, setting a new standard in travel intelligence and real-time security monitoring. Thanks to the new line, the travel time between the two cities has been reduced to 68 minutes.
HSR Network Surpasses 50,000 Kilometers
With the commissioning of new lines such as Hangzhou-Quzhou and Wuhan-Yichang, in addition to the Xi’an-Yan’an route, China’s high-speed rail (HSR) network has reached a historic milestone. With a total operating length exceeding 50,000 kilometers, solidifying its position as the largest network in the world, over 4,100 high-speed train sets are currently in active service across China.
