AB, New Railway Capacity Regulation Agreed

President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola announced that the Railway Infrastructure Capacity Management Regulation, agreed upon this morning with the EU Council, aims to improve service quality in railway transport across the EU, strengthen reliability, and develop cross-border coordination.

In a statement on social media, Metsola said, “Better service, higher reliability, and stronger cross-border coordination. The Railway Infrastructure Capacity Management Regulation, which we reached an agreement on this morning with the EU Council, aims to ensure exactly that.”

Thanking European Parliament Transport Committee Chair Elena Kountoura (Vozemberg), Rapporteur Tilly Metz, and the European Parliament team, Metsola emphasized that the regulation is an important step to optimize the use of the EU railway network.
