Logistics Expansion from İZFAŞ to China

İZFAŞ, in the logistics sector, held its second WIFFA – World International Freight Forwarders Alliance Expo 2025 National Participation Program this year, with Turkish companies making a presence in China. During the event organized in Ningbo, sector representatives engaged in important discussions with international stakeholders to explore new business collaborations.

İZFAŞ successfully completed the 20th WIFFA Expo 2025 National Participation Organization as part of its efforts to make the Turkish logistics sector more visible on the international stage and to enhance exporters’ competitiveness. At the event held in Ningbo, sector representatives held significant meetings with international stakeholders to forge new collaborations.

Sectoral cooperation opportunities evaluated

With İZFAŞ organization, leading Turkish companies such as Borusan, GNW Logistics, Kıta Logistics, Lima Logistics, Nemport, U Logistics, and Yeditepe Cargo participated in the fair. Welcoming nearly 50,000 visitors, the event enabled Turkish logistics companies to strengthen existing partnerships as well as to create new opportunities in the Chinese market. Participants held meetings in areas such as Asia–Europe transportation, storage solutions, and intermodal logistics, and evaluated sectoral cooperation possibilities.

Visit to the China International Import Expo (CIIE)

The delegation also visited CIIE 2025, China’s prestigious trade event and one of the world’s largest import fairs. The expo showcased a wide range of products from consumer goods to smart industry, medical equipment, and food and agricultural products, where bilateral business meetings were conducted. The fair provided companies with opportunities to connect with different sectors and explore new markets, while potential cooperation opportunities in logistics were also assessed. Additionally, the delegation visited the Ege Exporters’ Associations National Participation Stand. During the meetings there, export performance, sector opportunities, and logistics workflows were discussed.

Important connections established

During the organization, the delegation was accompanied by Melis Atamer, Head of the Fairs Department at the General Directorate of Services, Ministry of Commerce of the Republic of Turkey, and Kadriye Yaprak Taşar, Trade Attaché in Shanghai. Representatives of companies participating in WIFFA Expo 2025 expressed their satisfaction and highlighted the productive meetings they had, especially focusing on transportation, storage solutions, and supply chain collaborations along the Asia–Europe corridor, establishing significant connections.

İZFAŞ officials emphasized that WIFFA Expo 2025 and CIIE 2025 were extremely productive in terms of strengthening the international cooperation network of the Turkish logistics sector, expanding business connections for companies, and promoting İzmir’s trade fair vision on a global scale.
